Fireboy-Xintex Gasoline Detector - Black Bezel 12V

The Fireboy-Xintex Single Channel Gasoline Fume Detector monitors one area with automatic blower control, in a 2-3/16 inch black bezel.

Black is the finish against the chrome version, and the two are otherwise identical in function and dimensions. Most modern helms run black instrument bezels, so this is usually the one that matches rather than the chrome.

It monitors a single area, an engine compartment, fuel tank storage or anywhere gasoline fumes accumulate, and starts the bilge blower automatically on detection. Gasoline vapor is heavier than air and pools low in a compartment, which is where the sensor belongs rather than at the head of the space.

Both audible and visual alarms fire at the lower explosive level, with the horn at 68 dB. The round display fits a 2-1/16-inch cutout, running on 9 to 30V DC at 55mA nominal and 95mA maximum, rated from -40°F to 185°F. Explore more gas and carbon monoxide detectors.
