The Fireboy-Xintex Deluxe Helm Display is a 2-5/8 inch square black bezel unit with a membrane switch, remote horn and LEDs, for engine shutdown systems, running on 9-30VDC.

A membrane switch is sealed rather than mechanical, so there is no gap for salt spray to enter and nothing to corrode into place. On a helm that gets wet, that is the failure mode a conventional switch has. It also wipes clean, which a recessed rocker switch does not.

The remote horn matters because a helm display alone is only useful if someone is at the helm. A horn sited elsewhere takes the alarm to the cabin or the cockpit. A square 2-5/8 inch bezel suits panel cutouts that a round gauge body will not fill, which is the practical choice between this and the gauge-body version.
