The Faria Beede Dress White 2-Inch Digital Hourmeter Gauge flips the usual color scheme with bold black graphics and a contoured black pointer set against a perimeter-lit white dial, framed in a matching white aluminum bezel behind a flat glass lens.
Inside, battery voltage drives a small register motor to ground, and the count advances every moment the key switch stays on. Tying power to an oil pressure switch rather than straight ignition keeps the hourmeter tracking genuine run time, which matters when it comes time to schedule maintenance or verify an engine's real hours at resale.
