Description
The Faria Beede Chesapeake Black Digital Hourmeter is a 2 inch digital hourmeter. It counts up to 10,000 hours. Engine hours drive most maintenance schedules. Chesapeake Black series styling gives it a perimeter-lighted black dial with blue and white graphics, a polished stainless steel bezel, a contoured white pointer and a domed glass lens.
An hourmeter runs any time it receives battery voltage, so wiring it to the key switch counts key-on time. Wiring it through a normally open oil pressure switch counts only the hours the engine is actually running. That's the number service intervals are based on.
It fits a 2.0625 inch (53 mm) panel hole and runs on 12 volt negative ground systems, and it can be adapted for 24 volt systems. The factory part number is MH0239, and it is sold individually without a gauge cover.
