Faria Beede Chesapeake Black Digital Hourmeter

The Faria Beede Chesapeake Black Digital Hourmeter tracks engine run time on a 2-inch perimeter-lit dial, framed in a polished stainless steel bezel behind a domed glass lens.

Internally, the hourmeter applies battery voltage across a small register motor that runs to ground, and every increment of that register advances while the key switch stays on. For the most accurate tracking, wire power through an oil pressure switch that stays open until the engine is actually running, that way the meter counts real engine hours only, not time spent idling with the key on but the motor off.
