The Egis Heavy Duty 600A Battery Switch is a manual Off/On disconnect rated 600A continuous at up to 32V DC.
Six hundred amps continuous is a substantial rating, above most recreational battery switches. It suits a large inverter installation or a commercial vessel, where a 250 or 300 amp switch would be running near its limit and heating in normal service.
A mechanical switch holds its position with no current and can be operated with the electrical system dead. That is the argument for manual switching over a solenoid: the moment you most need to isolate a bank is often the moment the electronics have stopped working.
