Its ignition-protected construction allows installation in locations where gasoline vapor or other potentially hazardous gases may be present, provided the overall installation follows applicable standards.

The housing height is coordinated with other EGIS Flex System components, making it easier to create a clean, aligned power-distribution layout. A transparent protective cover shields the fuse and terminals while still allowing quick visual inspection, and break-away tabs simplify cable routing through the cover.
