The Digital Yacht NavLink 2 NMEA 2000 to Wi-Fi Gateway makes onboard navigation data available to any smartphone, tablet, or PC running a navigation app, and it's quick to install: connect straight to the NMEA 2000 backbone, and it draws power from that same network with no separate wiring.
Once running, NavLink 2 creates its own local Wi-Fi network for devices to join, or it can be configured to join an existing onboard wireless network instead. That flexibility makes it a good fit for gear like Furuno wireless radar, which runs on its own dedicated network but still needs NMEA 2000 data folded in for charting apps. NavLink 2 also works directly with the popular Navionics Boating App.
