Digital Yacht Heliflex 15cm VHF/AIS Antenna

The Digital Yacht Heliflex 15cm VHF/AIS Antenna is a 6 in helical antenna tuned to the 162 MHz AIS frequency. Digital Yacht says it performs as well as much larger antennas for AIS. Its ultra-light helical build keeps weight and windage very low.

The small, unobtrusive design is made for mounting at deck level, on a rail or on any vertical surface. That keeps it out of the way on sailboats and small powerboats where there is no room on the mast or arch. It can also serve as an emergency backup VHF antenna if your main antenna is damaged.

It comes with 66 ft of cable ending in a BNC connector that plugs straight into Digital Yacht Class B AIS transponders and AIS receivers. That long cable reaches from the mounting spot to a nav station below decks without splicing. An L bracket is included for mounting. Other antennas are in our marine antennas section.
