The Digital Antenna 528-VW 4-Foot VHF Antenna - White was voted the best 4 ft VHF antenna by PowerBoat Reports. Its compact length works well on T-tops, speedboats and sailboats where an 8 ft whip is too tall or too heavy. Award-winning construction gives it performance that lasts for years.
Inside, all connections are soldered, and a power-directing ferrite choke bead keeps RF energy on the antenna instead of letting it travel back down the coax. The 316 stainless steel ferrule resists corrosion, and the high-gloss urethane finish keeps its shine for years even in harsh conditions. A 4 ft antenna also puts less strain on its mount, which helps on fast boats that pound in a chop.
The 500 GOLD Series connection system uses a gold, factory-attached mini-UHF female connector with a mini-UHF male to PL-259 adapter. The small mini-UHF end feeds through tight cable holes, and you attach the adapter afterward, so there is no soldering on the boat. The coax is low-loss marine cable with tinned braid and foil shielding, and it is UV stable for exposed runs. Every Digital Antenna is made in the USA, then assembled, tested and tuned by hand. Other antennas are in our marine antennas section.
