Digital Antenna 529-VB-S 8-Foot VHF Antenna - Black

The Digital Antenna 529-VB-S 8-Foot VHF Antenna - Black is the company's flagship award-winning 8 ft VHF antenna. It is built to handle high speeds and rough water, so it is a strong choice for radar arches and T-tops on speedboats, yachts and commercial vessels. An 8 ft antenna sits higher than a 4 ft model and gives you the long-range talk power offshore boats need.

Inside, all connections are soldered, and a power-directing ferrite choke bead keeps RF energy on the antenna instead of letting it travel back down the coax. The 316 stainless steel ferrule resists corrosion, and the high-gloss urethane finish keeps its shine for years even in harsh conditions. That combination of internal build and finish is why the 500 Series has earned its reputation with installers.

The 500 GOLD Series connection system uses a gold, factory-attached mini-UHF female connector with a mini-UHF male to PL-259 adapter. The small mini-UHF end feeds through tight cable holes, and you attach the adapter afterward, so there is no soldering on the boat. The coax is low-loss marine cable with tinned braid and foil shielding, and it is UV stable for exposed runs. Every Digital Antenna is made in the USA, then assembled, tested and tuned by hand. Other antennas are in our marine antennas section.
