Davis Temperature and Humidity Sensor with Shield

The Davis Temperature/Humidity Sensor combines both sensors inside a single radiation shield, which blocks solar radiation and other sources of radiated or reflected heat that would otherwise throw off an accurate reading.

Without that shielding, a temperature sensor mounted in direct sun or near a heat-reflecting surface like a dock or hull reads noticeably hotter than the actual air temperature, which is exactly the kind of error the shield is built to prevent.

It includes mounting hardware for a fence post or pole along with a 25-foot (7.6m) cable, giving enough placement flexibility to keep the sensor away from heat sources while still reaching the main console. Check out the rest of our weather monitoring.
