The Davis Wireless Repeater is a solar powered repeater with a transmit and receive range up to 1,000 feet outdoors on line of sight, for Vantage Pro2 and Vantage Vue.

A wireless weather station has a range limit, and the sensor suite usually needs to go where the weather is rather than where the signal is good. A repeater bridges that gap. Several can be chained, so a sensor suite on a far mast or behind a building still reaches the console.

Being solar powered means the repeater goes where it is needed rather than where power reaches, which is the whole point of siting one mid-span.
