The Condor Hudson Bay has an 8.25-inch 1075HC steel clip point blade in Condor classic finish with a full tang at 13.25 inches overall, a walnut handle and a brown leather belt sheath.
The Hudson Bay pattern comes from the fur trade, where the company of that name supplied heavy camp knives to trappers working across northern Canada from the 17th century onward. The blade is broad and long for chopping and butchery rather than fine work, which is what a trapper needed from a single knife.
1075HC is tough rather than hard, absorbing repeated impact without chipping and coming back with a file rather than a stone. Walnut dampens vibration better than any synthetic, which matters on a blade this size, and the Condor classic finish leaves a gray oxide that slows rust on carbon steel.
