CMC BA-130 Break Away Motor Mount, 130HP

The CMC BA-130 break-away motor mount is designed for boats operating in shallow or debris-heavy water where an outboard may encounter underwater obstacles. Installed between the transom and engine, the unit allows controlled movement when an obstruction is struck, helping reduce the potential for damage to the motor and boat transom.

The BA-130 is rated for outboards up to 130 horsepower and permits up to 45 degrees of break-away movement. Its purpose is impact protection rather than normal trim or tilt adjustment, giving operators an additional mechanical safeguard when navigating areas where submerged objects or bottom contact are possible.

Confirm engine horsepower, mounting pattern, transom strength, steering and control-cable clearance, and all CMC installation requirements before fitting the unit. The break-away feature does not eliminate collision risk or guarantee protection from damage. Inspect the mount and transom after any impact and verify all hardware and engine controls before continued operation.
