Description

The CJRB Lanky has a 3.5-inch AR-RPM9 pen blade with a blue aluminum handle and a liner lock, closing to 4.5 inches, opened by thumb stud.

AR-RPM9 is Artisan's own powder metallurgy steel, made by pressing steel powder rather than casting an ingot. That gives a finer, more even grain than conventionally made steel of similar composition, so it holds an edge better and sharpens more predictably. A pen blade is the slim, symmetrical shape traditionally fitted as the small secondary blade on a pocketknife. Scaled up to 3.5 inches as the main blade, it makes for an unusually narrow, elegant knife with a fine point.
