The CJRB Lanky has a 3.5-inch AR-RPM9 pen blade with a black aluminum handle and a liner lock, closing to 4.5 inches, opened by thumb stud.

A pen blade is the slim, symmetrical shape traditionally fitted as the small secondary blade on a pocketknife. Scaled up to 3.5 inches as the main blade it gives an unusually narrow, elegant knife with a fine point for detail work. AR-RPM9 is Artisan's own powder steel, pressed from steel powder rather than cast, which produces a finer and more even grain than a conventional steel of the same recipe and makes sharpening more predictable.
