C.E. Smith 40 in. Unlighted White Post Guide-On

The C.E. Smith 40 Inch Post Guide-Ons are a pair of white PVC posts that mark your trailer's position when it's under water. When you back down the ramp, the posts stay visible above the surface, so you can line the boat up even after the bunks disappear. They stand 40 inches above the trailer frame. Guide-ons also keep the boat centered as it comes onto the trailer, which protects the hull and fenders.

The posts are 2 inch schedule 40 white PVC with a 2-3/8 inch outside diameter and white caps. Each side adjusts out to 13 inches to match the width of your boat. Mounting hardware is included, and C.E. Smith makes them in the USA. White PVC is easy to see from the driver's seat in low light.

The steel parts are pre-galvanized, meaning they're stamped from sheet steel that was galvanized before forming, which leaves a thinner coating than hot-dip galvanizing. Before setting the width, check your state Department of Transportation rules on maximum trailer width. Set the posts just wider than the boat's beam so they guide without rubbing.
