Caframo Ecofan Original Black Heat-Powered Stove Fan

The Caframo Ecofan Original is a black-blade, heat-powered stove fan that uses the heat from a wood stove to generate the electricity it needs to run. It requires no batteries or wall power, so the fan begins working from the stove itself once the surface reaches its operating range. The fan moves up to 100 CFM of air to help circulate warm air into the room instead of allowing it to collect near the ceiling.

Fan speed changes automatically as stove temperature changes, giving the Ecofan a simple self-regulating operating cycle without a separate speed control. Caframo rates the Original for rooms up to 120 square feet and lists an operating temperature range of 230°F to 650°F. The fan is also designed for quiet operation, making it suitable for cabins, small living spaces, and other rooms heated by a wood stove.

Caframo states that improved circulation can warm a room up to 20 percent faster and may reduce fuel use and emissions by up to 12 percent. The Ecofan Original is made in Canada and carries a two-year warranty. For wood-stove owners who want better heat movement without adding cords or batteries, it is a compact, ready-to-use circulation accessory. Explore more camp accessories.
