The Browning Lockback has a 3-inch satin stainless drop point blade, a brown burl wood handle with stainless bolsters and a fileworked backspring, closing to 4 inches.

Filework is hand-cut decorative notching along the backspring, visible along the spine when the knife is closed. It serves no function and takes time to do, so it usually appears on knives well above this price. Burl wood alongside it makes this a dress folder rather than a working one, with grain that swirls in tight irregular figures no two handles share.
