Description

The BoatBuckle G2 Retractable Transom Tie-Down is a pair of straps adjusting from 2 to 43 inches, with a 1,500 lb break strength and a 500 lb safe working load.

Retractable is what stops transom straps becoming a mess. The excess winds back into the housing rather than flapping loose on the highway or being knotted around the frame. It also means the strap is always the right length rather than needing to be adjusted and re-adjusted for each trip.

The gap between 1,500 lb break strength and a 500 lb safe working load is deliberate. A tie-down is rated at a third of what it will take, which allows for shock loading over bumps. Supplied as a pair, since a transom needs a strap on each side to stop the hull moving laterally as well as vertically. Explore more trailer tie-downs.

  • Excess strap retracts rather than flapping loose
  • Always the right length without readjusting
  • 1,500 lb break strength, 500 lb working load
  • Supplied as a pair for both transom corners
