Attwood 12 in LightArmor Fold-Down All-Round Light

The Attwood LightArmor fold-down all-round light is built around a cam-lock base that lets the pole swing down when clearance is limited. The large cam handle can be operated with one hand and is designed to stay locked during normal use. If the base takes an extreme impact, the cam can release and allow the pole to fold rather than forcing the full load into the base or pole. That breakaway behavior can reduce damage when the light contacts a dock, cover, or overhead obstruction.

Wiring is concealed inside the pivoting base so moving the light does not leave exposed conductors around the hinge. Noncorrosive materials and a glass-filled polymer base are used for long-term marine durability. Attwood’s optical design keeps electrical demand low while the LED engine is intended for a very long service life. The assembly is backed by a long manufacturer warranty, reflecting its focus on repeated use in exposed locations. The base can swing through 180 degrees, and its cam lock is designed to release if an extreme impact of about 12 ft-lb reaches the assembly, helping reduce breakage. The LED engine draws only 1.8 watts in the supplier’s stated operating configuration and is rated for more than 50,000 hours of use. Attwood backs the light with a 10-year warranty.

• One-hand cam-lock fold-down base
• Impact release can help protect the base and pole from severe contact
• Concealed wiring stays protected through the pivoting joint
• Noncorrosive materials suit harsh marine environments

Mount the base where the pole can fold through its full arc without striking windshields, canvas, or other equipment. Check the cam mechanism and wiring periodically so the light remains secure and electrically reliable. For compatible replacement parts and related equipment, browse more Navigation Lights.
