Attwood Light Armor 6-LED Blue Underwater Light

The Attwood Light Armor is a surface-mount underwater light with 6 blue LEDs, overheat protection and a heat-sink cooling design.

Six blue LEDs is the smaller output in blue, and blue is the color that penetrates clear and salt water furthest. Water absorbs red and yellow wavelengths within a few feet. Blue travels further before it disappears, so it produces a glow extending away from the hull rather than stopping at it.

Six LEDs suits a modest transom, or an installation using two or three fixtures spread across a wider one. Overlapping light from several smaller units gives a more even result than a single large fixture concentrating output in one place.
