ARCO Yamaha 30-150HP Outboard Relay Assembly

The ARCO R001 relay assembly is a replacement for selected Yamaha outboards from the 2005-and-later application range identified by the manufacturer. The supplier lists engines from 30HP through 150HP within the covered families. Because Yamaha uses multiple relays across starting, trim, and engine-electrical functions, the original relay number should be used to confirm the application. This assembly is intended to replace the specified factory relay rather than serve as a universal automotive-style relay.

Yamaha 60E-81950-00-00 is the OEM cross-reference supplied for the R001 assembly. That reference should match the existing relay or the applicable Yamaha parts catalog before the wiring is disturbed. Compare the connector arrangement and mounting position with the removed assembly as a second fitment check. A direct connector match helps preserve the original harness without splices or adapters.

Inspect the relay socket, terminals, grounds, and nearby wiring for corrosion or heat damage during replacement. A poor high-current connection can create symptoms similar to a failing relay and should be corrected before the new assembly is put into service. ARCO lists 12 months of materials-and-workmanship warranty coverage for leisure use and 90 days for commercial or racing applications. After installation, operate the controlled system repeatedly and verify that the relay engages consistently without excessive heat.
