ARCO IG025 Yamaha 2-Stroke Outboard Ignition Coil

The ARCO IG025 ignition coil is a replacement for selected Yamaha two-stroke outboards and related Mercury/Mariner applications that use the same coil family. The supplier identifies 9.9, 15, C25, and E48M Yamaha models in its fitment information. Because these engines span different horsepower levels and model designations, the existing coil number should be used as a primary confirmation. The replacement is intended to retain the original ignition configuration and connector arrangement.

Yamaha 6E7-85570-19-00, 680-85570-09-00, and 6E7-85570-10-00 are listed as OEM references. Mercury numbers 95188T, 95188M, 41832M, and 96351M are also included, along with Sierra 18-5112 and CDI Electronics 187-8009. This broad interchange list is helpful on older engines where a prior repair may have installed a different branded coil. Compare the physical terminals and mounting with the removed part before completing the repair.

Inspect the plug lead, primary wiring, grounds, and adjacent ignition components for corrosion or insulation damage while access is available. Clean, secure connections are essential for a dependable ignition circuit. ARCO lists 12 months of defect coverage for properly installed leisure-use products and 90 days for commercial or racing use. Confirm the engine starts easily and runs cleanly through its expected operating range after installation.
