ARCO IG021 Suzuki Outboard Ignition Coil

The ARCO IG021 ignition coil is a replacement for selected Suzuki outboards that use the specified coil family. The supplier lists DF9.9 and DF15 applications from 1996-2003 and DT40 applications from 1996-1998. Those engines span both four-stroke and two-stroke families, so the original coil number remains an important fitment check. The IG021 is intended to replace the existing ignition component without altering the engine’s factory ignition layout.

Suzuki references include 33410-94400, 33410-92L10, 33410-92L11, and 33410-93E00. Sierra 18-5151 and CDI Electronics 188-0001 are also listed in the supplier cross-reference data. Matching one of those numbers to the old coil is useful when model-year information is incomplete or a previous repair used an aftermarket part. The physical connector and mounting arrangement should also agree with the removed component.

Check plug leads, primary wiring, grounds, and nearby connectors for corrosion or damage while the coil is accessible. Ignition faults caused by poor terminals can persist even when the coil itself is replaced. ARCO lists 12 months of warranty coverage for defects in leisure use and 90 days for commercial or racing applications when properly installed. After installation, confirm clean starting and consistent spark under normal operating conditions.
