ARCO 2-Wire 4-Bolt Outboard Tilt Trim Motor

The ARCO 6247 is a 2-wire, 4-bolt tilt and trim motor for Evinrude E-TEC outboards. It fits the 2005-2009 70 to 90 HP, the 2007-2009 115 HP, and the 130 HP from 2009 on. A flat blade shaft and the TAK247 mounting kit are included. Trim motors sit low on the engine bracket, where spray and standing water speed up corrosion of the housing and the wiring.

It replaces BRP-OMC 5005817, 5005838, and 5006319, as well as Quicksilver 8M6007529. The TAK247 kit supplies the parts needed to fit the motor to the pump, so you are not reusing old, corroded hardware. With Evinrude out of production, a new aftermarket motor is often the most practical repair for these engines. Keep the old mounting parts until the new motor is fully installed in case you need to compare them.

Before ordering, confirm your engine's year and horsepower against the list above, since other E-TEC models use different trim motors. Tilt the engine up and engage the tilt support, disconnect the battery, and clean both wire ends before connecting the new motor. Once it is installed, run the trim through its full range and watch for smooth, steady travel.
