Description
The Ancor Yellow 14 AWG Tinned Copper Wire is a 500-foot spool of single conductor with Type 3 ultra-flexible stranding.
Yellow single conductor at 14 gauge is the ABYC-coded negative for the wire a boat uses more of than any other size. Starting a rewire with yellow negatives throughout is easier than converting later, and 500 feet is enough that the convention holds across the whole job rather than running out and finishing in black.
Fourteen gauge covers lighting, control, accessory and negative return circuits at low to moderate current. Single conductor suits the way boats are actually wired, with negatives collecting at a bus rather than following each positive back to the panel.
Tinned copper resists corrosion and electrolysis in wet and salty conditions. Ultra-flexible Type 3 stranding improves routing through panels, consoles and machinery spaces while resisting vibration and repeated flexing, with premium vinyl insulation staying flexible in extreme cold. Explore more marine wire.
- Yellow negative in the size a boat uses most
- 500 feet holds the convention across a whole job
- Running out means finishing in black
- Negatives collect at a bus, not back at the panel
