The Ancor Red 8 AWG Tinned Copper Wire is a 250-foot spool of single conductor with Type 3 ultra-flexible stranding.

Eight gauge positive covers charging circuits, pumps, distribution feeds and higher-current accessories. Choosing between 8 and 10 gauge usually comes down to run length rather than the load itself, since voltage drop over distance is what forces the step up more often than current does.

Three percent drop is the working target for critical circuits and ten percent for non-critical ones, and a long 10 gauge run will miss the first. Working that out before ordering is quicker than rewiring a run that turns out marginal.
