Description

The Ancor Black 8 AWG Tinned Copper Wire is a 250-foot spool of single conductor with Type 3 ultra-flexible stranding.

Eight gauge single conductor covers DC negative returns, grounding runs, accessory feeds and distribution circuits at moderate current. It sits at the point where a wire stops being a branch conductor and starts being a feed, which is also where crimped ring terminals replace push-on connectors.

A 250-foot spool suits a boat with several circuits at this size rather than a single run. Black is the traditional DC negative color, and Ancor also supplies yellow for the ABYC convention on the same gauge.

Tinned copper stranding protects against corrosion and electrolysis in saltwater and moist environments. Type 3 ultra-flexible construction routes around equipment and through panels while resisting vibration fatigue, with premium vinyl insulation staying flexible in extreme cold. Explore more marine wire.

  • 8 gauge is where a wire becomes a feed
  • Crimped rings replace push-on connectors here
  • 250 feet for several circuits, not one run
  • Black traditional, yellow also available
