Ancor 3/4-Inch Self-Extinguishing Split Loom, 100-Foot

The Ancor 3/4-Inch Self-Extinguishing Split Loom is a 100-foot length of flexible abrasion protection for wire harnesses.

Three quarters of an inch is the smaller of the two loom sizes, sized for a modest harness rather than a main run. Loom should fit the bundle reasonably closely. Oversized loom lets the wires shift inside it and defeats the purpose, since the rubbing simply happens within the loom instead of against the boat.

Self-extinguishing construction stops burning when the ignition source is removed, unlike ordinary automotive split loom which sustains a flame. That is what prevents a wiring fault becoming a fire that travels along the harness through the boat.

The split design encloses existing wiring without disconnecting every conductor and unpicking the harness. Flexible construction follows bends and changing paths through consoles, machinery spaces and electrical compartments, protecting against the rubbing that wears through insulation at bulkhead edges.
