The Ancor 1-Inch Self-Extinguishing Split Loom is a 100-foot length of flexible abrasion protection for wire harnesses.

Self-extinguishing is the specification that matters, and it separates marine loom from the automotive equivalent. Ordinary split loom will sustain a flame once lit. Self-extinguishing material stops burning when the ignition source is removed, which is what keeps a wiring fault from becoming a fire that follows the harness through the boat.

The split design lets existing wiring be enclosed without disconnecting every conductor and pulling the harness apart. That makes it a retrofit part as much as a new-build one, since protecting an existing harness is otherwise a full rewiring exercise.
