Description
The Ancor 16/4 AWG Ribbon Bonded Cable is a 100-foot length with brown, green, white and yellow conductors in a flat bonded format.
Four conductors bonded flat covers control and multi-function circuits where more than two wires follow one path. A switched light with a separate ground and a dimmer signal, or a two-speed pump, needs three or four conductors going the same way, and running four separate wires means clipping and tracing four instead of one.
Brown, green, white and yellow give distinct identification at both ends without stripping back to find which is which. That color set is deliberately unlike the DC and AC conventions, so a control cable does not get mistaken for a power run.
The flat bonded construction has no bulky round jacket, so it fits beneath trim and behind panels where round four-core would not. Premium tinned bonded copper resists corrosion, though the lack of a jacket means it belongs in protected runs rather than anywhere it will rub. Explore more duplex and triplex cable.
- Four conductors for control and multi-function circuits
- Beats clipping and tracing four separate wires
- Colors unlike the DC and AC conventions
- No jacket: use protected runs
