The Albin Group Engine Cooling Pump for Kohler 5 to 7 kW diesel generators is a direct replacement seawater pump. It keeps cooling water moving through the generator's heat exchanger. When a raw water pump wears out, the generator overheats and shuts down.
It replaces Kohler pumps 28487, 359341 and GM28487, which use Kohler impeller 359978. It also replaces Sherwood G8001, which takes Sherwood impeller 8000K. Those cross-references cover most 5 to 7 kW Kohler diesel installations.
