The Albin Group Crankshaft Engine Cooling Pump is a raw water pump for Ford and GM V6 and V8 marine engine blocks. It converts a pulley-driven setup to a crankshaft-driven mount. The pump also fits engines built on those blocks by PCM, Crusader, MerCruiser and others.
It is interchangeable with the Johnson Pump F6B-9, part number 10-24930-01. That Johnson part replaces the older 10-24915-01, 10-24805-01 and 10-24232-01, and the pump also crosses to Indmar 685001. Checking the part number on your old pump against that list is the quickest way to confirm fit.
A seawater pump pulls water through the intake and pushes it through the engine's cooling system, so a worn or failed pump leads straight to overheating.
