This Airmar bronze thru-hull, rated at 1kW and running Airmar's wide-beam CHIRP technology, requires its cable purchased separately, is a single-band member of Airmar's wide-beam CHIRP family, built specifically to widen coverage under the boat compared to older narrow-beam high-frequency units. Running 150-250 kHz with a beamwidth that holds steady at 25 degrees across that entire range, rather than tightening at higher frequencies, this transducer gives roughly twice the under-boat coverage of a standard high-frequency CHIRP unit.

The wider footprint doesn't just cover more bottom, it also catches fish suspended higher in the water column that a narrow beam tends to miss entirely, and it produces sharper, larger returns on a paired display. 1kW power, thru-hull mount with fairing block, up to 20° deadrise.
