Airmar B175HW Bronze 20-Degree 1kW Thru-Hull Transducer

The Airmar B175HW Bronze 20-Degree 1kW Thru-Hull Transducer is a high-frequency wide-beam CHIRP transducer. It sweeps from 150 to 250 kHz with a constant 25 degree beam, giving 100 kHz of total bandwidth. Airmar says that gives twice the coverage under the boat of its standard high-frequency CHIRP transducers.

The constant beam width means the coverage stays wide across the whole sweep. It shows fish high in the water column that a narrow beam can miss, and it draws crisper, larger targets on the display. It covers the popular 200 kHz fishing frequency plus everything else in the band.

The ceramic element sits at a fixed 20 degree tilt inside the housing, which suits hulls with 16 to 24 degree deadrise. With the transducer mounted nearly flush, that tilt cancels out the hull angle and points the beam straight down for the strongest echo returns. It runs at 1 kW, includes fast-response water temperature sensing and suits boats 25 ft and up. Airmar's Xducer ID technology lets a compatible fish finder recognize the transducer and set itself up automatically. This model needs a separate Airmar Mix and Match cable for your brand of display, sold separately. If you change electronics brands later, you can leave the transducer in the hull and just swap the cable. The bronze housing is for fiberglass or wood hulls, so check your hull material before ordering.
