Wichard Not Self-Locking Bow Shackle 16mm 316L

The Wichard bow shackle is forged from 316L stainless steel for demanding attachment applications where published load capacity and dependable marine hardware are important. The bow profile gives additional room for attaching multiple lines or cables.

The forged 316L stainless construction combines corrosion resistance with published working and breaking loads. The pin engages the designed locking indentations to resist loosening from vibration, while this particular model is identified by Wichard as not self-locking.

Confirm shackle diameter, opening dimensions, working load, breaking load, pin style, and compatibility with every connected fitting before use. Follow Wichard's stated load definitions and do not use HR shackles for mooring where the manufacturer excludes that application. Inspect the body and pin for deformation, wear, thread damage, or corrosion before loading.
