Whitecap Black Nylon Chrome Locking T-Handle Latch

The Whitecap locking T-handle latch combines a black nylon body with a chrome-plated Zamac handle. It is specified for freshwater boats only, a restriction worth observing when replacing hardware. A keyed lock controls access to the hatch or compartment.

The assembly includes a short offset cam bar, neoprene O-ring, and key fastener. Its outside diameter is 3 in, with a 2-1/2 in cutout and a 1/8 to 3/4 in surface-depth range. Check the cam location and panel thickness before installation.

The black body offers a different appearance from the matching white model. Do not assume the chrome-plated Zamac parts are intended for saltwater service. The short offset cam should be compared with the compartment's existing latch hardware. The lock position must allow the short cam to engage behind the hatch frame.
