Viega MegaPress 316 1/2-Inch FKM Stainless Union

The Viega MegaPress 316 1/2-Inch FKM Stainless Union provides a mechanically pressed connection for compatible stainless steel piping in marine and other demanding fluid systems. The 1/2-inch size is designed for Schedule 5 through Schedule 40 stainless steel pipe and allows installation without welding or threading, which can simplify work in machinery spaces and other confined areas.

Viega builds the fitting from corrosion-resistant 316 stainless steel and uses an FKM sealing element inside the press connection. Grip rings and separator rings are engineered to work with the sealing element during the press cycle, creating the joint when the pipe is prepared correctly and the fitting is pressed with approved equipment.

Before installation, verify the pipe outside diameter and schedule along with system media, pressure and temperature requirements, sealing-element compatibility, and approved press-tool use. Cut and deburr the pipe, mark insertion depth, keep the sealing surfaces clean, complete the press according to Viega procedures, and inspect and test the finished connection before service.
