Victron BMV-700 High Precision Battery Monitor

The Victron BMV-700 calculates amp-hours consumed and state of charge from measured current, with a 500A shunt and programmable alarm.

It can be configured for shunts up to 10,000 amps, which is far beyond what the supplied 500A unit handles. That matters on a commercial or industrial installation, since the monitor itself does not have to be replaced when the system outgrows its original shunt.

A programmable visual and audible alarm warns on selected battery conditions rather than leaving the display to be watched. A monitor nobody looks at reports nothing useful, and an alarm is what turns passive information into something that prompts action.

This is the BMV-700 rather than the 702 or 712, so it has no auxiliary input and no Bluetooth. The 702 adds the second input for midpoint or temperature monitoring, and the 712 adds Bluetooth on top of that. Explore more battery monitoring.
