Description
The Uniden UM435 Black Fixed Mount VHF Marine Radio is a full-featured 25 watt radio with a shorter chassis for more installation options. The ultra-compact, rugged build fits consoles where a full-size radio will not. It is IPX8/JIS8 submersible and has a black finish.
One receiver is dedicated to Channel 70 for DSC calls, including distress, individual, urgency, safety and position reports. A DSC test call and auto DSC channel switching are built in, and Triple Watch Plus monitors several channels. S.A.M.E. emergency and weather alerts warn you of severe conditions.
A full dot matrix display with easy menus measures 25 x 51 mm and has a dimmer and backlit keypad. The rubber-grip mic has 16/09, channel up and down and scan/mem keys, and the radio switches between 1 and 25 watts. NMEA 0183 input and output and compatibility with the Uniden MRN-GPSK GPS receiver add position data for DSC. Other models are in our fixed mount VHF radios section.
