The Tecnoseal R4MG rudder anode is a magnesium sacrificial anode sized for direct protection of underwater rudder hardware. Its round body measures 5 in in outer diameter and 0.60 in high, giving the anode a defined contact footprint without adding unnecessary bulk around the rudder installation. The sacrificial metal is intended to corrode preferentially so more valuable submerged metal components are not the first parts attacked by galvanic corrosion.
