Tecnoseal R2AL 2.84 in Aluminum Rudder Anode

The Tecnoseal R2AL is a 2.84 inch aluminum rudder anode that bolts to the rudder blade. It stands 0.43 inches tall and weighs 0.34 lb. Rudders are a common spot for corrosion, especially where the stock and blade fittings meet.

Aluminum anodes protect in salt, brackish and fresh water, and they deliver more protection per pound than zinc. Each anode comes with a stainless steel hex nut and socket cap screw, and the hex nut is captive, which makes installation much easier underwater. Tecnoseal makes these at full size and weight for maximum service life.

An anode is a sacrificial metal that corrodes in place of your drive, propeller and other underwater metal.
