Tecnoseal BTQ140 Quick Zinc Propeller Nut Anode Kit

The Tecnoseal Quick BTQ140 propeller nut anode kit is made for Quick bow thrusters that use a 140 mm tunnel. Rather than adding a separate external block, this design replaces the propeller nut position with a sacrificial zinc anode. That placement puts the replaceable anode directly at the thruster propeller assembly where corrosion protection is needed.

This BTQ140 version is specified for saltwater service and should be matched by thruster model and tunnel size before installation. Tecnoseal notes that most thrusters require two anodes, typically one for each propeller side, so the quantity needed for a complete service should be checked before ordering. The mounting screw is not included with the kit and must be available from the existing installation or sourced separately as appropriate.

Because bow-thruster anodes sit inside the tunnel, wear can be easy to overlook during routine topside checks. Inspect the zinc whenever the thruster is accessible and replace it before most of the sacrificial material has been consumed.
