Description
The SRM Twin 251MB has a 3-inch black coated Bohler N680 stainless dagger blade with a false edge, an ivory G10 handle and a pocket clip, closing to 4 inches on an ambidextrous lock.
N680 is an Austrian stainless with nitrogen and vanadium added, developed for marine and dive knives because it resists salt corrosion better than almost any other knife steel. On a dagger-shaped folder that pairing makes sense, since the pattern is usually carried rather than worked and corrosion is the thing that kills a carried knife.
A false edge is ground to look sharpened along the back but left blunt, thinning the point for piercing while keeping a spine the thumb can press on. An ambidextrous lock releases from either side, and ivory G10 is an unusual choice against a black blade. Explore more Tactical Linerlocks.
- N680 resists salt corrosion better than most knife steels
- Suits a knife carried more than worked
- False edge thins the point but keeps a usable spine
- 3-inch blade, 4 inches closed
