Spyderco ARK Black Fixed Blade Knife

The Spyderco ARK Black Fixed Blade Knife is the ARK, short for Always Ready Knife, a compact fixed blade built to be carried every day. It has a 2.56 in drop point blade of H-2 steel with a plain edge. H-2 is a nitrogen-based steel that does not rust, even when it lives around salt water, sweat or rain.

Full tang construction runs the steel through the black glass-reinforced nylon handle. A thumb ramp on the spine gives you control for detail work, and a lanyard hole lets you add a cord. The knife is about 5 in overall and very light.

A black polymer sheath is included and can be worn around the neck or attached to gear. A rust-proof fixed blade like this works well for divers, boaters, fishermen and anyone who wants a backup knife. It is made in Japan. Other compact fixed blades are in our boot and neck knives section.
