Springfield Trac-Lock III Slide and Swivel Mount

The Springfield Trac-Lock III Slide and Swivel Mount combines 5-1/4 inches of slide with a 360-degree swivel. It sits on an anodized aluminum platform for 2-7/8-inch posts. The anodized finish holds up better to salt and sun than bare aluminum.

Use the slide to set your distance from the wheel and the swivel to turn the seat toward the cockpit. It is a common replacement when an older slide and swivel gets stiff or loose, since it fits standard Springfield posts. The 7-1/4 x 13-inch platform fits most boat seats. Replacing a worn mount also takes the wobble out of the seat, which makes the boat feel tighter and more controlled at speed.

Before removing the old mount, note how the seat and slide were oriented so the controls end up in the same place. After installing, run the slide through its full travel to check clearance, and rinse the tracks after saltwater trips.
