Description
The SmartPlug 30A 50-Foot Cordset has a SmartPlug connector at the boat end and a conventional 30A twist-type plug at the dock end, on 125V.
Mixed ends are the point of this cordset. The boat gets the SmartPlug connection where the heat and corrosion problems actually occur, while the dock end stays compatible with the twist-lock receptacles most marina pedestals still use. That means upgrading the vessel without needing every marina you visit to have upgraded too.
At the boat end, side clips lock the connector into the inlet so cord movement is taken by the housing rather than the electrical contacts, which is where a conventional twist-lock wears itself loose. Silicone gaskets seal the connection when fully engaged, and tinned conductors resist the corrosion that damp and salt air cause inside a cable.
Red and blue LEDs on the female connector confirm incoming shore power at a glance and flag a reverse-polarity condition before anything is switched on. Fifty feet of orange cable reaches a pedestal from most berths, and a black inlet cover is included for the vessel-side fitting. Explore more shore power cordsets and cables.
- SmartPlug at the boat, twist-lock at the dock
- Upgrade the vessel without relying on the marina
- Side clips take cord movement off the contacts
- LEDs confirm power and flag reverse polarity
