Shurtape 48mm Blue Hull Preservation Tape

The Shurtape 48mm Blue Hull Preservation Tape is a 9.0-mil UV-resistant polyethylene marine tape built to protect finished hull surfaces during transportation and temporary outdoor storage. Its conformable film and synthetic rubber pressure-sensitive adhesive help the tape follow common marine contours while maintaining a moisture-resistant seal through demanding storage conditions.

This 48 mm straight-edge version comes on a 33 m, or 36 yd, roll and is engineered for temporary protection with clean removal and little to no residue when used correctly. The UV-resistant backing helps the tape tolerate outdoor exposure while the flexible construction makes it practical for masking and preservation work around boats.

Because paints and finishes vary, the manufacturer recommends testing a small inconspicuous area before applying the tape broadly. Apply it to a clean, dry surface and press the full bond line firmly. The listed service-temperature range is 14°F to 158°F, so installation and removal conditions should be considered during storage planning.
