Shakespeare QuickConnect 8-Foot VHF Antenna - 6dB

The Shakespeare QuickConnect 8-Foot VHF Antenna, 6dB gain, brings a feature originally developed for Shakespeare's high-end Phase III antennas, quick-connect mounting, down into a more affordable product line, without sacrificing that convenience.

Rather than crimping or soldering a permanent connection, the QuickConnect system lets a boater simply screw or unscrew the antenna directly at the mount, useful for lowering an antenna for bridge clearance, storing it during trailering, or swapping it out entirely without touching any wiring. A splash protection cap covers the mount's connector whenever the antenna is disconnected, keeping moisture out of an exposed connection point, and a Centerpin PL-259 connector makes any future cable work a simple crimp-on job rather than a soldering project.

One important compatibility note: this antenna's base connector only works with QuickConnect-compatible mounts, so it's not a drop-in replacement for a standard ratchet-mounted antenna without also switching to the matching mount hardware.
